The Line tool in Adobe Illustrator is used to create straight lines and paths. You can use it to draw various shapes and lines, or to create the building blocks for more complex shapes. When you select the Line tool and then click and drag in the document window, Illustrator creates a line segment that extends from the point where you first clicked to the point where you released the mouse button.
The Arc Tool, instead, allows you to create an arc shape by clicking and dragging the cursor in the desired direction. This tool allows you to create curved lines, which can be used to create shapes like circles, ovals and rounded rectangles. It can be found under the same flyout menu of the Line Tool in the toolbar, or you can access it by simply pressing the “A” key while the line tool is active.
It is important to notice that the line tool is often used to draw basic shapes or straight lines, while the arc tool is used to create curved lines and shapes.
